The Mess.

Sometimes love isn’t offered. it’s summoned. This is the opener of Love, in Spite of. The piece depicts the idea of love, made divine but what are we actually bowing to? Obsession can look holy when you frame it right. Is it still love if it only feeds the fantasy?

"Come Home to My Heart" is a raw outpouring of desperate, borderline delusional love, dressed in celestial drag and corrupted iconography. The angel wings, black wings, and obsessive repetition of “come home” can be sweet but it can bd haunting, like unread texts that multiply out of control. This piece is the emotional opener. It captures the spiritual sickness of wanting someone so badly that you’re willing to fuse them to you by any means necessary. The red starts to creep in visually, subtle but telling, as I probe a messy romance paradox, yearning for something pure while drowning in irony and guilt. Sacred and sinful blur. It’s a testament to toxic romance masquerading as devotion, a spiritual breakdown disguised. Infatuation takes center stage here ungrounded and obsessive. Not real love, but a craving for the idea of being loved, wrapped in divine imagery that makes obsession look holy. It’s a prayer and a demand, a chant and a collapse, and it sets the tone for the trilogy.
